Presidents Day Pens

When I was in the second grade, I remember a day when there were a group of people who visited our English class. They handed out premium promotional pens and asked us t write to the President. They insisted on letting us ask anything we want to him. I remember writing something like what his favorite cartoon.
Come to think of it, it was a bit dumb for me to ask that. I should have asked he handles his daily work in the white house. Anyway, I also remember asking my teacher if we will be graded for that letter. She said yes, so I eagerly did the assignment and brought home the premium promotional ballpoint pens with me.
All of the class did their homework, and everyone was rewarded with good grades. For that assignment, I was given a B+. I have always been (thankfully) a C student, so that one really gave me a surprise back then. I don’t know what happened with the letters. I thought back then that the President was so busy in his job that he wasn’t able to write back. But now I know. That assignment was… just an assignment.
I’m saying all these nostalgic stuff because I just received a present from my boss. He gave me some pc accessories and a couple of premium promotional high tech pens. I must be doing a pretty good job.
The pens themselves and not the type of pens reminded me of President’s Day. I must say, I must have a good childhood because I can remember it vividly with simple items like these office gifts. They are pretty cheap, but the impact is so powerful that it makes me young again.
